The Future of payPod

Share

First off, I would like to say "thank you" to all of you who continue to use payPod.

Secondly, I want to apologize for the lack of attention I have given payPod. While payPod has continued to grow organically over the past 8 years - without much in the way of marketing - I have not given the product nearly enough attention as I should have. While I have maintained the security of the system, I have not developed new features, nor made any significant improvements. I want to change that.

I am broadcasting this publically as a way to bring some transparency and accountability.

What improvements do you want to see?

I often get emails requesting features, which I would now like to consolidate. I want to figure out the biggest troubles that people have with payPod, and address those as a priority; whether it be a new feature, such as statements, or simple adjustments to the interface.

Even if you have emailed before, please take a moment and drop me an email at jethro@paypod.co.za to let me know what features you need in order for payPod to work for you and your business both in the short, and mid-term. I will endeavor to reply to all emails within a day or two.

Once I have a roadmap of which developments will happen first, I will post an update, and keep everyone in the loop

Thank you for reading this far, if you have any other questions, please do email those too. I will reply.

Kind regards,
Jethro

Six months ago, an announcement was made that new paid features would be introduced. While there were some delays, I am happy to announce that the much-requested features have now been made available.
You can now add a PayFast "Pay Now" button to your invoices and start accepting online payments using a variety of methods, such as Credit Card, Instant EFT and Mobicred.
In the upcoming months, we are planning to launch a new version of payPod. This will be the first major update since payPod's inception ten years ago in 2012. All of the current features will remain in place, and functionality that is presently free, will remain free. The launch will happen in two phases, with the bulk of the improvements happening upfront in phase 1.
